My cousin used to have a newer mustang cobra (03' I think) and he said down there in FHP there are some undercover cops who have one and will try and get you to race and then pull you over.

I'd be so pissed if that happened... thats gotta suck...

A V-6 Accord coupe with a 6 speed would probably be a good pursuit car--a quick sleeper. And with the Detroit Three on the ropes, it's probably a good idea for the FHP to consider all the other options.

I have never been pulled over by a Honda but think it would be a sin for a honda to give a honda a ticket.

Guys, don't worry about FHP having these type of cars as undercover cars because they do not have them. They have very strict policies against this within the dept. The only cars FHP uses for undercover work is the Charger and Crown Vic.

As far as confiscated vehicles, this is what they do with them:

The FHP Auxiliary uses these for shows and recruitment.

The Hondas' you guys saw are either county or city depts.

don't forget the mountain-bike patrols either!

We actually have a really good bike unit here in Ocala ... they are super-stealthy on black Cannondales
