While going through the previous owners papers for my S, I came across an intallation sheet for the Hondata gasket. Is there a way visually, without taking anything apart, to tell if it is indeed installed?

Yes...look where the intake manifold bolts to the block. If the gasket is pretty thick and white, it's the hondata gasket.

 

it should be visible between the block and the intake manifold.

i thought there was a way to install it so it looked stock. am i wrong? wouldnt be the first time

 

If anyone wants a hondata gasket, i have one, brand new in the packaging I'd sell cheap
