Scary area if you ask me but I haven't spent a lot of time there. Maybe others will chime in.
All, this is just south of Busch Blvd and west of I-275 if I have the address correct.

Yeah, it's rough. Maybe not quite as rough as suitcase city, but not a good place to be either. At least it's on that side (west) of 275, and not the east side though.

Not a great area. It's been that way for the past 40+ years that I know of. My wife grew up there and I got her out of there the instant that we were married 27 years ago. Interestingly, it has never migrated one way or the other...............

like most major cities, there are good parts of town and bad. Usually the more industrial areas, low rent, project housing etc etc contribute to high crime, dangerous citizens etc etc This is one of those parts of town
so I have no clue about Tampa, sorry
