I have been waiting for YEARS for Honda to stop production. It was initially supposed o be a very short lived production anyways.

Thanks everyone for writing.

Well, my lease is up on the 06 and instead of just buying it out, I wanted to replace it with another lease on an 09. 3 more years of bumper-to-bumper warr. Plus, there are questionalble sounds coming from my car that Honda has never fixed. ("No. My heat shield is NOT supposed to rattle like that all the time.")

So yea, I would take an 08 if it had just come into port. But, more than likely, it sat on a lot for a year and was redlined by every douche who test drove it before buying a used 350Z or G35. Not a car I want to pick up as "NEW".

I just have so little time to be dealing with another long car hunt. I may take the easy road on this one. I love my S. Really. I do. But...

we have a red 09... unless we sold it over the weekend.

oh and Courtesy probably doesnt want them anymore after what happened to two of theirs the same night they got delivered... seats and steering wheels gone. fenders stabbed and HID's removed. if i owned a Honda dealer i would have one S2000 on the lot at all times but no more than that b/c you HAVE to keep them in the showroom these days.
That is funny you know about the s2000's at courtesy. I ended up finding the berlina black that this happened to around December on ebay. I purchased it from a private dealer in Orlando still with everything wrong with it. The car still had the shipping tape on it. I sourced all the oem parts for it mostly new parts from a buddy that works at Honda where we live. Ended up being a little bit more work than I thought it would have been the thieves obviously did not know what they were doing or were just after the bulbs/ballasts to put in an integra or some other honda because they broke the headlights. They stole the cluster which was the hardest part for me to find being that it is a 2008. Everything is 100% now and finished but I do not have finished product pictures right now but can get you all some once I get back home from work this weekend. I have some when we got it as well as the process of my Dad and I putting it together. Retains a clear title and 100% factory warranty as well, cant beat that.

Before: Bumper and both fenders were destroyed.

Process of putting it back together.
Fresh paint!!

I've redlined mine for the last 180,000 miles and it seems to be doing just fine and encourage those who drive it to do the same so they can experience it.

Isn't that what they're supposed to do?

find one with 3 - 5 miles they all come of the truck with 3 to 5 or 6 miles. Some dealers will not allow test drives until they know they have a qualified buyer and not just a tire kicker. When I sold them I went with everyone and if the driver tried to run it hard I just turned the ignition off . NO VTEC on my test drives . I would take them for a drive in mine for those , me driving of course.
