Default need some input on tranny issue

i have noticed recently that my tranny will pop out of 4th with very little pressure applied to the shifter. i can also pop it out of 3rd if i try a little harder, and 2nd if i push. the rest seem to stay in gear with me applying more pressure.

normal or not? i tried search and found a few threads but i hate to post something this sensitive in UTH for fear of crap getting posted.

advise, thanks,

matt

I say normal. Since the engine and transmission are rotating at the same speed it only takes a little force to move it out of gear. It's basically rev matching. You can shift your car without a clutch, I do not recommend it!

If it starts to pop out on it's own (no push from you) then there is an issue.
