I'm skeptical he landed on the median. Been flying for a few years and there's no way I'd set down that close to a barrier on grass. If there was a rut or hole that catches the gear it would put you into that barrier in a second. I'd much rather take my chances and aim for touching down on the inside emergency lane and let the cars get out of the way.

 

third hand, sheriff across the street ( neighbor ) said he landed in the middle and as he an triaffic worked out his being there he went over to the center strip..

 

nice... kudos to the pilot for the landing and the take off..

 

thats so awesome. i would have been pissed in that traffic, then when I got up to the plane I would have been WTF.... thats cool!
