Yep, you can run it under the center console, you just have to remove it all. I will provide full pics of everything so you can see what needs to be removed and how to remove it. I haven't installed a system in an S before but have installed a number of systems in other cars and they are all about the same.

Edit: Just checked the tracking info, my 9857 was delivered today.

I still can't install it though.. need the DCI. Hopefully I'll get that early next week. On Sunday I think I'll start taking about the center console and test fit all the iPod stuff, although I may customize the glove box organizer instead.. I'll take pics of how to remove the center console and all that..

Yeah I thought about that location but since I will never need to touch it I want to move it to a less visible spot. I am currently thinking of the "glove box", it has that elastic strap on the door and I have a clip on my iPod case that will clip right to that. I know that the strap will eventually stretch out but..

I also bought the modifry glove box organizer so I might customize that to hold it instead.

Once I figure it out I'll take some pics and we can meet up if you want to see the finished product in person.
NAPA has a cellphone holder that might work for you. It can be mounted under the dash and bent to any spot you want.

Just and idea.

Ok I started pulling the car apart. Removing the center console and radio trim is beyond easy, I'll take some pics of where to pull and where the tabs are, but it's easy.

The hard part looks to be the removal of the glove box so I can wire the ipod there or the secret compartment... looks like I may need to remove a LOT of panels to get that out unless I'm missing something obvious.

Running the ipod wire under the center console is easy, you just have to work on pushing the wire through until you can grab it. Honda even left a convenient wire holder for the excess wire

If I really do have to remove a bunch of panels to remove the glove box I may just go ahead and order some door speakers, a basslink and try to see if it'll make sense to install some better tweeters in the rollbars or not. Probably not as you can bearly hear them anyways, but they do make a difference at speed... and since all the panels are removed anyways and I hate doing things twice..

Ok, the back panels, side panels, door sills, trunk carpeting/lining, and glove box is out.

That's a lot of crap to remove JUST to get to the SC/Glove Box.

I can't find any speakers to install in the rollhoops (well besides other 1" tweeters but I wanted to find a 2" that would fit.. ) so I guess I'll leave those stock.

I got the DCI yesterday so I think I'll wire the HU, DCI and test that (and the iPod cable) tonight then I'll order some new door speakers and a basslink and start running the RCAs for the sub, power for the sub and speaker wires for the new door speakers.

FL05: I haven't taken pics of every piece of the removal to get to the glove box but took a number of them, and I found a thread with the pics also.

I'll take some more pics of the HU/DCI/iPod wiring tonight but can't do much else until I order some more parts.

Well I am drilling a hole in my secret compartment to mount it in there. It's a pain to get all the crap out to do so but it's not so bad. If you need help on removing any of the parts let me know. I am going to do a write up with the pics I took but am waiting on parts to finish my install... or semi finish it anyways
