Well I should have my pics ready to go by sunday... I need to go get a big drill bit and a grommet (to make it look nicer, not that you'd ever see it on a normal basis..) then I can drill away

Are you located around tampa?

Well I scratched up my secret compartment doing the install.. but that's my fault for drilling it in a dark garage after a bad day at work

Oh well, I sanded the instead to help smooth out the damage, still looks bad but I'll get over it. Here's some pics, obviously we can protect yours a lot more

marking the center of the hole:

Drilling, adding the grommet, etc, the grommets I found were either too small or too large so I took a larger one and cut part of it out:

Fitment:

Wire with grommet:

Final wiring up to the headunit:

Yeah not bad except for the gouging of the damn compartment when the drill bit. That's my own dumb fault though

I hope to have the whole glove box reinstalled today and the speaker brackets modified for the alpine speakers. I'll post a few more pics with that completed.

I should be getting me wiring supplies in tomorrow so I'm hoping to completely finish everything on sat morning.

I may be driving through Orlando on the 28th or 29th, if I do I'll let you know in case you want to see it in person.

Here's some more pics for you with the glove box and center console and a pic of the mid range/woofer mounted.

ipod cable leading out of the glove box area going to the head unit:

Glove box and center console reinstalled:

Alpine Type-S components mounted to modified stock brackts with included alpine adapters:
