Well on one hand, that's what I'm going to be using to part out whats left of my car, and I also know dealerships that's have eBay accounts and sell used parts all the time, as well as some of the sponsors on this website itself to sell overstocked items etc.
But again, like you said, I'm not buying a fender or a gauge, but there's a big difference between 1.800 and 2.600

advice in here so far has been spot on. I have done 2 rebuilds and both would have been better off with new bottom ends Vs. the hassles of rebuilds....

SubZero makes a GREAT point of finding a mechanic with S2000 experience. This motor is very tricky and is quite different from you typical b series.

come on man, do you really trust "ebay" to get a working engine? man you can get the engine locally from a trusted source.
I sold my old F20c complete with transmission on eBay. So, sure ... eBay can be a source It would make sense to have a seller with a good feedback percentage and a history of car/engine parts though.

Well .. funny you mention that ... because I'm in talks with them right now about certain features that aren't working properly according to their guidelines

It is always treacherous to buy anything used and 'sight-unseen'. But, there are lots of supports systems and programs that help to make it more comforting and reassuring within eBay nowadays. I've had some great successes from both perspectives.

If it were me ... I'd definitely check out what yelis300 has to offer. Pictures on an eBay auction may not give you every angle.
