I just went through this unfortunately.

I got a quote from honda for $2500!!! So, my insurance company cut me a check for $2100 and I'm going to the guy who painted my car to fix it.

$2500 - $500 deductable + $100 for tint = $2100

Haven't gotten it fixed yet because i didn't want the car in the shop for the super meet. I actually sowed it up with a needle and thread last weekend. It took me 2.5 hours but holds the rain out pretty decent. I tried the duct tape to no avail.

good luck. I feel for ya. Good thing it's not rainy season

i spent 20mins sewing mine up today.. you dont even want to know what it looks like. Haha. Then I put free USPS tape all underneath it, then I went to the car wash. Worked out great lol.

If you still want to have someone put your top on Anthony's is awesome. They did all my seat and door panel work.

They are Very good.

Hi
I had to replace the top on my 2001 S and I took it to Rayco on Central Ave in St Petersburg. They made a custom top out of the real nice heavy cloth that is popular now and I got a rear glass window put in.

I am real happy with the top though I did have to take it back for some stitches.

Cheers
David

Thanks for the recomendation. As for now, I am currently working with Anthony's regarding pricing and scheduling. I have to order the top myself so, it will take me a couple of weeks to get the top fixed.

i've got a check sitting here from my insurance company for $2100 want me to scan it and send it to your insurance company?

you're getting fooked! get a quote from honda and demand that it be replaced with factory equipment by an authorized honda technician. then do whatever you want with the extra cash i just made you

the honda quote should come in around $2500 with parts and laybor.

By no means do i actually mean what i just said. my dog typed that. insurance fraud is bad!
I don't think my insurance will budge. I called a few Honda dealers to send me a quote to fix my top but so far, none of them have given me a quote in paper. I also talked to my insurance regarding their settlement and they said that the pricing they have is what shops are charging. They said that if I go to any body shop, they will take my check and fix my car specially the preferred ones. The only time they would give more money is for a shop to justify that it would cost more to fix the top.

Topsonline came through and delivered my Robbins top to my door last Thursday. I took my car to Anthony's Custom Upholstery this morning and my car was done at 3:00. I picked it up and was happy with the top and the work. There's a few wrinkles here and there but the shop told me to let it stretch for a few days and it will go away. The only thing I did not like is that I dropped off the car clean and the car was given to me dirty. I will post some pictures later.

Leave the top up for several days in the sun. The wrinkles will go away. Mine did.
