Do you honestly think our Government wants a car with that much of a disgusting gas rating in the US? I mean Come on, Half of the gasoline companies are owned by our very own government officials. Its to their best intrest that you pump gas constantly. Yea the governments DOT department are the ones that require some cars to go through changes before they can set foot on US soil.

EPA regulates the imports to something like 3% of the cars imported are allowed to be diesels . They claim it to be the high emmissions ratings . (BS) , with the proper fuel these cars are capable of close to 60MPG and burn 99.9% of the fuel so emmissions is just a BS reason to not allow them in
