This was intended to be a joke. I know that we all can't wait for everything to start.

I am going from AP1 OEM lip to AP2 rear OEM wing next week. Will this interfere with the decal? I hope it will not obstruct the IZOD logo?

I think you'll be alright if the rear decal is positioned a bit closer to the rear window versus the tail lights as show in the diagram above. No worries.

Ryan,
I do see what you are saying...but in all honesty, it's only a few weeks. I have felt the same way after having the decals in the past, but in the end, it's give and take. We are marketing tools for indy....tacky or not. In return, our compensation is the event at hand and the pride of being involved.

While I agree in not necessarily liking the decals, suck it up man! I daily drive mine too, but in the end, I'm proud to be part of this community and event!

By the way, PM me and i'll get you my email for photos.

I, personally can't wait to get the decals on. Of course in my Camaro pick, I enlarged it on the door. It's not going to be that big. The standard SPGP decal is going to be on the side, which is much more of a focal point.

I would rather have BIG IZOD than the whimpy I AM INDY on the hood and trunk of years past.

I hope people don't get the wrong idea of my Camaro pick. I was just trying to be funny. And to the powers that be, if you want to delete my Camaro pics...by all means, do it. They were never meant to be negative. Sometimes my dry, humorless wit gets taken the wrong way.

This is gonna be freakin' awesome!!!

David

Ryan,

Breathe bud. The decals aren't nearly as bad as you have in your head. I've seen them in person, in my garage no less. Yes, the IZOD is huge but the decals that are typically on the rear deck and hood normally don't have any indication of dates, etc. ("I am Indy" for example in years past). The dates and such are normally on the doors just like they are this year. Website and phone numbers on the rear and front. All is the norm.

In my now 6 years of doing this and having the S and Ridgeline decaled up a kazillion times for HGPSP and even Homestead I've always rec'd compliments. Give it a shot. You'll always run into some dumbA$$ on the street with a redneck truck or whatever that wants to say something but that's true even without decals. You'll have a blast without a doubt.

Many thanks,
Shay

Added after I saw David's post -

David - I think the Camaro pic is hilarious but RoB if you think it causes a stir than by all means Mr. CO do your thaing.

Trust me - you will never see more decals on a Ridgeline than what I'll have come event weekend. I have a Ridgeline kit and some extra S2000's decals. Every door including the tailgate will be done up without a doubt.

It's gonna be fun guys.
