[Decal-insulting Comments removed. ]
I'll take a deep breath and wait to see them in person.

If there are any questions you have, I think those of us that have participated in the promotion in the past, would be happy to set your mind at ease. The first hour or so of getting used to people "reading" your car is different. After that first hour, you don't even realize or pay attention to it. As my S2000 is my daily driver, I tend to drive it more with the decals on. I try to make more meets around town also. I would say that 90% of the comments are positive. The other 10% of the people say, "I can't believe that you would do that to your car". I then reply that it is for a promotion and that they are temporary and will peel right off. And then they say, "ohhhhhh...".

Regarding, "BIG IZOD". I, for one, have never had an affinity for IZOD. Actually, 30 years ago, in my formidable teenage years, my style would have been at the other end of the style spectrum. With that said, I can still say that I am still very comfortable and secure with the BIG IZOD. Now, if we were promoting BIG MASSENGILL or BIG VIAGRA, I may feel different.

Those of us that are returning, I think it is safe to say that this is something that we very much look forward to, year after year!!!

Sincerely,
Thraak (David)

Ryan you have a decision to make my friend.

The decals are what they are, brother.

if you have issue with looking like a tool you are going to either come to terms with it or back out. I have no problem with refunding you.

I wont judge you either....I read of similar issues with guys down in SFL for the homestead projects in years past. I cant force you to like it or be a part of the program. and i would not keep your money if you backed out. The gesture is appreciated but not acceptable.

IF you are worried about what people may think about you while having these decals on your car, this may not be the gig for you.

you let me know what you decide but I rather hear a NO before the event then a NO after I get the decals on...you know what I mean... I have a couple hundred dollars worth of decals I would rather not waste and a roster spot I can fill ASAP......

no worries or pressure...you do what's right for you.

Sponsors and racing go hand in hand, in the past the Indycar series (including the CART days) have had Series Title sponsors such as PPG, FEDEX, DirectTV, Pep Boys & now Izod.

They went for a few years without a Series Title Sponsor and now they have Izod who pays about 10 million per year with a five year commitment. (that's a lot of shirts).

Get used to hearing Izod, it will be used to describe everything Indycar. Izod is the new identity and it shows in the decals being used. I for one do not have a problem with it, if people want to make fun of my car and or me have at it, I really just don't care. I have done this for the last 3 years and next to a trip to the Dragon it is the most fun I have had with the S.

Motorsports (in any form) doesn't happen without sponsors. The "Sprint Cup" NASCAR series (formerly Nextel Cup, formerly, Winston Cup), The NASCAR "Nationwide" Series, The NHRA "Full Throttle" Drag Racing Series, etc.
