Driving down to 2nrwerks issue aside, the dealerships in my area charge 100-115 +tax at the most.

250 is ridickamous!!!!!

BTW Todd does them very well, but I understand the drive is long

Todd and Rob did mine last weekend at 2nrwerks and it helped out A LOT! Better throttle response and a lot quieter running motor. I'd just drive to Tampa and have the peice of mind that it was done right at 2nrwerks!

I know that this is starting to sound like an endorsed conspired commercial but we all agree that 2NRWERKS Todd is the best thing to happen to our local S2K community. Price is definitely a factor, but the confidence that you have knowing that it was done right is always worth the premium. The best part, Todd does not charge the premium. But his work is world class and frankly, having his fingerprints on your car actuality makes your car worth more money!........ IMHO.

**For the record, I work in the Parts & Service industry of the national automotive industry. I pulled up an actual customer pay invoice from a local Orlando Honda dealer using my IT-DMS system and the price for the operation is $125.51, including all taxes, parts, shop supplies, etc. I really have no idea what they are doing to you unless they are adding for other labor ops but I think that you been given enuf evidence and opinions that you need to call Todd.

IMHO Sounds like they are charging for an inspection too.

If you walk in and say I want a valve adjustment they would probably quote a more reasonable price. But if you walk in and say I have a ticking noise coming from the engine, they will probably want to rule out some stuff like cam chain tensioner, stop motion assemblies, crushed valve springs etc etc Kinda like what I went through troubleshooting all this week.

Even though I've had a local dealership and tuner shop look at mine I'd like to get some guys to take a listen to my car next weekend at Willie Gees. If they deem necessary I'll do my best to make it over to Todd's the weekend of the Grand Prix.

Something I just read in "Under the Hood" was that the guy didn't need a valve adjustment but replaced the timing tensioner. I have no clue on these matters but he said it took about 15 minutes and now there's no more ticking and the car sounds like brand new.
