Default Car Tampering

So I was pretty pissed off when I walk out to the S yesterday from work and my front H badge was so kindly removed and turned upside down to be placed back on top of the car. The H won't stick on the car anymore, so what should I use to clean off the excess sticky when I buy my new H??

wd40 works, goo-gone, goof-off. Any of these will require a wash over the area to remove any residue remover.

Can the old H be stuck on again with adhisive or did they break it?

If it is not broken, got to az and get double sided tape. It is a grey tape with a red backing. It feels rubbery. I have used this to attach my miami logos to the trucks and never had one fall off yet.

If you really want to replace the OEM, let me know. I may still have mine.

Sucks...

Have you considered dumping the H and going for an S badge instead?

They are also some black and red Honda badges that are a bit smaller that look pretty good IMO.

I just read a post in the Talk forum about painting the OEM H something different than the silver/crome look. I think I may try out a couple diffrent colors to see how it looks. Might look cool to match caliper paint with badge...

If anyone has an extra H after Diz resolves his issue I would be very interested in buying one.

I also second the tape jimmi was talking about. I used that to rebadge the 9-5 with no issues.

I've got my 02 Chrome OEM front and rears. They would have double-sided taped as the post keeper broke off upon removal. Did you lift any prints off the chrome????

You'd have to rub down the emblem first .. being careful not to break it .. then prime, & paint .. sand for a good finish .. paint again .. & clearcoat...

Yep, everyone knows: 'H preparation' is a pain in the a..

'H preparation'

I may still have the broken-post H that the dealership left in the car when I picked it up. I recall it had one mostly intact post. Could be useful as a test piece - or possibly as a replacement with the tape.

Thanks for all the responses guys I appreciate it, I still have my H but it wouldn't stick back on.... I think I am going to run up to Autozone and get that tape that Jimmy, and BradleyBev recommended. Thanks Smags and DJ for the offers it is appreciated. Oh and Smags no I didn't get any prints the IT guys are supposed to be looking at the cameras to see if they can see anything.... I should hear something by tomorrow.
