I am assuming you are talking about your old FF5 wheels. Aren't the center caps on those wheels plastic and will heating melt/deform them?

I say matte black...IMO powder coat looks better matte. I am also a fan of gun metal....if you want opinions on colors.
We do not have to do the centercaps but if we choose too. Plastic can be powdercoated but a different way. I will have to double check this but I am pretty sure I read about heating the plastic up in a 200 degree oven then powder, and cure again at 200 degrees.

I would think at 200* the plastic gets quite soft but is should not melt. Correct me if I am wrong.

Yes they are. Center caps can be removed and will be painted by hand to match. I was thinking matte as well
Cool. Hopefully we can get a warmer day to do this in the near future if not we will have to wait until spring. I will save some matte black.

. I thought when you powder coated you used electrostatic charges to keep the powder on the parts.
Correct, but it is still powder. The powder becomes solid once heat is applied. The powder does stick just not very good. I was speaking with Debbie via PM's earlier. I would like to give it a try sometime. If it doesn't work we can try something else.

As I said I've got other chambers available too, but I definately don't want to get any powder stuck to the inside of those. They're not mine.

The HALT chamber is mine. No one will care or know if it looks like Walt Disney threw up in it.

Oh, sorry for the visual.
