There rally isn't anything that you NEED. You might as well get a new clutch setup becuase you will burn through your stock setup quickly. A good route that I've heard to take is to replace the stock pressure plate with an ACT heavy duty pressure plate. You will also need a new OEM throwout bearing and pilot bearing. These can be found at hardtopguy.com. Also while your dealing with the tranny, you could get a lightweight flywheel (not necessary, but a nice touch and will save $$ to do it at the same time). Anyhitng from there is really up to your wallet and wants. Headers, exhaust, and Comptech reinforced differential housing would be good next steps. I don't have the diff housing and have never had a problem - just depends on your driving style. Spark plugs may also be in order, but I'm not sure which ones.
There are a couple other Gateway members that have a blower setup and I bet the others would be happy to help with the install. That could save you alot of money right there. You can easily find a blower setup for under 4k. You should be fine $$ wise.

How good are you with a wrench?
Find a used kit, install it yourself w/ help...$4k is possible.
New kit, hire someone to install it...not possible for $4k. IMO
Used kit for an ap2 may be hard to find. Don
