Drove the new Acura RSX Type-S, First Impressions
Let me start of by saying that owners who purchased the S2000 are not missing much.
Highs:
* Crisp (but heavy) steering response
* Nice engine sound
* A back seat (although small)
* Hatchback (room to carry something)
* i-VTEC gets better after 6,000 RPM (sounds familiar)
* 6-Speed Transmission that's buttery smooth
* Bose 8 speaker 6 disk in dash sound system
* Fit and finish of an Acura
* 4 year/50,000 mi warranty
Lows:
* Not as stiff as the S2K
* More body roll than the S2K
* Definitly not as fast as the S2K
* Somewhat poor body styling
* Not a head turner of a car
* No tuned exaust note, no exaust sound at all
* No double wishbone suspension up front
* Only 100 hp/liter
* Read lines at a mere 8,000 RPM
* Less torque, 141 lb/ft even with i-VTEC
* Seats are not as nice or as comfortable
* Plain looking wheels
Anyone else have any comments?

I test drove one yesterday, too.
On a side note...the sales guy I was with was in that accident last week...what a coincindence. He was not injured at all, but the car had $13K in damage.
On the RSX...I agree with Dave. It is a great car for >$25K, but it's definitely not an S2K killer in any way but fit and finish.
