TTeaser started a thread about this a few weeks ago. We should have a variety of different cars, and a chance to meet some other motoring enthusiasts. Although organized by a TT owner I would love to have a some S2K's come along as well.

Here is the final itinerary for the mountain drive. Assuming good weather we should have a nice little drive through the mountains. It has been a long while since I have been up there so I am looking forward to it. Basically I figure we will meet at Toosies at 9 AM. For those that are leaving from my neighborhood (Virginia-Highland) I guess we should be on the road a little before 8. If you want to come over to my house for a cappuccino or espresso before the trek just let me know, the barrista will be up early to accommodate your coffee orders. There is nothing like a hand crafted espresso to start the day!

I expect we will have 6 to 10 cars which a good number should we decide to lunch at a restaurant. I will bring a sandwich and something to drink in case we decide to picnic.

Bring a FRS radio (channel 4) if you have one. I have one extra that I can loan out if you need to borrow one.

Right now the schedule is:

Sunday morning April 21, 2002

9:00 to 9:30: Meet at Toosies (end of 400)

9:30: Loop 1 consisting of Deals Gap, Lake Winfield Scott, Suches, ending at Turners Corner. Probably takes about 1.5 hours or less.

10:30 to 11:00 Regroup at Turners Corner

11:00 to 1:00 Loop 2 (to be decided). This depends on the group

Your run sounds a lot like what the S2000 club has done in the past. I would suggest a plan for lunch as it has been my experience that everyone is interested in eating by that time.

A few people suggested that we do a quick drive on the Saturday before (after the Cars 'n Coffee Show). I don't have anything planned since any plans are still up in the air. We have many people attending the show but I'm not sure how many want to drive afterwards.

I can't commit to anything right now but it would be fun to join the TT group. I'm sure BobG will be up there no matter what (he's a nut!)

I am about 6 miles from Highlands but might just meet at Toosies..(this is VERY early to me, so I will have a hard time even at 9:00AM)
