Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit a 2000/2001 with the new convertible top (the one in the 2002 with the glass window and defroster)? If so, where can you have it done - I'm sure it's beyond my mechanical abilities...

Thanks..I learned quite a bit about the subject from reading those posts...and in the end found out that no one really knows whether you can or not...

 

You can put on the top with the glass, but you have to buy a whole new top. It is around 3000.00 not including installation. This is at a honda dealership in marietta that gave me the information. If you have a fax I can send you what theygave me. Ed Voyles Honda.

I think the glass is great.. but why do you want to switch? You'll loose about 50% of the veiwing area out back - You can also keep the plastic looking like glass by cleaning it with Scratch Off and coating it with Plexus. Lasts for a full season.

Ahh, maybe your right.. I studied the glass size compared to my 01 FSM and the dimensions were vastly diff - Most of the loss is at the bottom and 1/8 less at the top.
