Need info S2000 glass softtop conversion for y2000
HI i have an 2000 s2000 with the softtop that has a plastic rear window. i was just wondering what i have to do to convert it to a glass rear window.
So i have 3 questions:
1. Can it be done?
2. Do i have to change the frame, cloth or both?
3. Is there another way to add glass to the rear window to glass without changing to 2002 softtop?(some hack or solution that someone may have come up with)
Thanks in advanced,
Eric

1) Yes, it can be done
2) You don't have to change the frame. Just buy a new/used '02+ soft-top and it can be retro-fitted onto your '00 frame. A few modifications have to be done to the frame to work properly, but it's not very difficult.
3) There is no way to add a glass window onto your '00 soft-top, unless you have some professional upholestry shop fit one in for you but i don't think that would be very easy.
If you do a search you might be able to find some old posts about the soft-top replacement. In the post there should be a link to a PDF file that describes how to do the installation yourself.
