I have that whole Norton Internet Security and taht shit got so annoying that I have every aspect of it turned off except for the antivirus portion
what I don't like about it is that I can't shut it off completely... it turns itself back on... always dislike it when you can't take full control of stuff

I crashed my car because you told me to put an airfreshener in it.

you can have it not pop-up. I had Zone Alarm Pro (the one you pay for). I hated it.

[QUOTE=CaptKirk,Sep 15 2006, 02:44 PM] You can spin it, but you won't make any power past ~8200 I think.

then what you do is - say yes or no, whatever you need to do and click "remember my decision". then it doesn't pop up next time, until you get a new patch for the game.

the real reason you're crashing is because your low memory makes your system more susceptible to freezing - you really need a min of 512MB for XP to run without hassles.

feel free to take it off, it's your computer - just be aware that you're nekkid for all the spam script kiddies, the stuff can occasionally get through the routers...

unfortunately keeping computers secure is a bit of work...

have you checked whether their Services are still running? the version I had (albeit a while ago) didn't shut off all the services...
