not true, there was a class action against sony for the ps1. why the ps2 is still doing so well is two reasons, (a) it was the top system for a while, (b) ps3 is overpriced and most people won't go out and buy it just to replace their ps2
I agree with b).
And yea I know they extended the warranty, but I thought it was only 2 years. I guess I might still have a year then
They go by serial right? Or receipt? I'm pretty sure I have both... but not 100% sure where I put the receipt.

Yea but you have to look at how long the playstations have been out and the units sold vs the xbox. The ratios of defective units still would greatly be towards xbox being the defective bunch.. I mean the 360.. the orig xbox been pretty stable.

Seriously. I just don't feel confident about the system at all. I was just saying this last night when playing FF12 on the ps2 (yes still trying to finish this), that a 10 yr old ps2 is still holding strong when this f'n xbox has issues after a couple years.

I'm fairly sure it's the serial
Although I really hope it IS the serial.. as I honestly don't know where I put the receipt..
I don't know where I put mine either, and since like 500 people I know have all returned it w/o a problem, I have to assume it's by serial. All of them could not have kept the receipt. Though maybe it's in my 360 box
