Well... the 1991 Acura NSX in Northern Virginia is a NO.

My wholesaler came to my office to speak with Alex and found out I was looking at an NSX. I showed him the link to the vehicle I was looking at and he liked the vehicle, yet said it is a bit pricey. As well, he mentioned that the 30 day tags would make him nervous... especially with the owner had telling me that the vehicle was not registered.

Immediately he forwarded me to CarFax to check on things.

09/26/2005 CARFAX
This vehicle was registered in a county declared a flood disaster area by the Federal Emergency Management Agency ( FEMA ).

I asked him the best way to know.. he said you simply just smell, that's the only way to really tell a flood vehicle. Well, the owner told me on the phone that he sprays ax body spray in the car every night to make it smell nice.... odd.

Then he told me that this is why the car has 30 day tags... everyone is bouncing around the registration until they can find someone who is clueless to buy the car. Once they get it.. they will then find out that the title will show flood.
Offer him $10k

wow glad you checked carfax before making the trip
I'm surprised Chad went as far as he did before checking out the carfax.

This is the usual order I take when looking for vehicle:

1) White
2) Clear title (Carfax)
3) Mileage
4) Ask a blitzkrieg of questions (snap ring range, speaker amps, window regulato, etc)
5) Test drive

Spent the entire weekend doing quite a bit of thinking about the entire situation. Don't get me wrong, I've done quite a bit of research and debating prior to making this decision, however things are a bit more rough now.

Right now, my credit does allow me to purchase an NSX... no matter the year, under a certain budget. The down part is... I REFUSE to pay the interest rate that Navy Federal offers on a vehicle that is beyond 7 years of age.

This past Saturday I visited Navy Federal to cancel my previous loan and apply for one in great value. At this point, I am now beginning a search for a 2000 - 2001 either Black / Black, White / Black, or Monaca Blue Pearl / Black NSX.

Speaking with our wholesaler, I have access now to the Manheim Auto Auction... so I will be keeping an eye out as they do sell significantly less at this auction than through ebay & online forums.

92' wont work Rafi... interest rate on anything 99' or older is just too high for my liking.

I have friends at Manheim.... they sell our seized cars.. Just sent them 25 cars... Customs, Secret Service and ATF seized autos.

Let me know if you need any help.
