I bought a Alpine CDA-9886 and I wanted to put a monitor in my dash.
I seen people post that they has similar models to this one, but they are running video. I was wondering if this unit will be capable of the same thing. Or, is it because they use their IPODs connected to the unit to play the videos on their monitors.

looking at the specs i dont think you can play video via the headunit. it notes that it is not capable of video playback.
if you want a monitor get a headunit that plays dvds then purchase a screen or a double din with built in screen. good luck.

i think this double din would look nice cut into our dash. i had a similar headunit in my xb.

i was gonna do the double din in the dash but i was too scared to have someone cut my dash up to follow through on it.....i wish the best of luck and def. keep us updated on the progress

had a pretty nice sq system in my xb. i dont spend enough time commuting anymore to enjoy another sq system. plus i really want my mugen ht.

 

should look for the jdm navigation bezel.....
