Default need help finding dual din navi headunit

So what I'm looking for is a dual din navigation unit... that will display the navigation on a 2nd external monitor, while leaving the screen on the actual unit itself available to control things and watch DVD's etc...

Basically on an 8th gen accord, I want to replace the upper (non navi display) with a secondary display to show the navigation maps and stuff. while the main unit is in the dash, easy to reach, and can play DVD's and do other functions.

Anyone know if that exists??

I know its possible, the other way around (2nd monitor for DVD's etc... but the main scren on the unit to display navigation and buttons for different controls etc...)

The pioneer D3 i have can have maps on the main screen and video playing on the other. only problem is the navigation uses a disk so if you want both, u need to have a video ipod.

now the problem with that is the new ipods arent compatible with the d3 to play video.. but they do play music.. which means for video ud need a 1gen video ipod

anyways its probably not the unit for you

i agree.. but it looks a lot cleaner.

I'll be putting in a NAVTOOL navi interface thing to make it work with a DVD player that has SD, USB, and another AUX input.

Only thing I'll be missing is Bluetooth audio. But the car still has Bluetooth phone. so its good enough.

a lot cheaper thand the dash kit, plust headunit.etc...

yeah.. while OEM navigation integrations are ALOT cleaner, it's interesting how an option that adds more then a thousand dollars to the price tag (as an option) is EASILY superseded by a portable unit that costs maybe $400... but then you have to deal with the possibility of theft and not the most ideal mounting locations.
