did you cut the wire or pop the pin out of the harness? i want to do this, but i'd rather not cut any wires in the process.

 

I just cut the wire. To put it back together, if I ever want to, I'll just solder it or use a couple of quick dis-connects. The pin looks removable, and I have various pin tools that might work on it, but I didn't think it was worth the hassle on my car.
