why is the coast guar and cops on kauai having such a hard time controlling the protesters?
The Coast guard was there to insure the safety of the boat while it was at sea. Once the boat docks and the conflict is on land, it's out of our hands. All we could do was protect the boat from the possibility of any damages by protesters in the water. Once on land, it becomes the Police department's responsibility.
Running on emotion, I'm sure most of the Coast Guard would have loved to get on land and help, but politics are politics.

Anyways speaking of super ferry. have you guys thought of going to other island with your S? not kauai , maybe maui or big island for a weekend cruise? let me know, dad works for the company and have family and friends discount hehehe! peace!

i wonder if the SuperFerry will sue the state for lost income? Especially if the state told them "no need an environmental impact statement...."
