Default I'm Sorry...I've tried....What is AP1 vs. AP2?

I tried the FAQ's and tips area. I can't seem to find a way to determine what AP1 is vs. AP2. I'm guessing it's something very simple.

Thanks guys.

Yes, pretty simple...

1999-2003 S2000 is AP1

2004- S2000 is AP2

The engine displacement story is a bit more complicated as the US received the F22C engine (2.2 liter) in 2004. Most of the rest of the world stayed with the F20 until recently.

AP1 is the Honda S2000 produced from 2000-2003 with the F20 engine
AP2 is the S produced from 2004-2007 with the F22

Going a step beyond the chassis codes themselves, each had some mid-run updates...
AP1.0 - 00-01
AP1.1 - 02-03; glass window, adjusted spring & roll bar rates, interior updates
AP2.0 - 04-05
AP2.1 - 06-07; DBW throttle, stability program, new wheels

The AP1's engine also revs to 9000-rpm...the AP2 has slightly more torque but it is limited to 8000-rpm. Either way the S2000 is amazing and you can't go wrong.

Thanks for being kind, guys. I had an idea that it dealt with versions, but I couldn't be sure that it dealt with years.

Thanks again
