I've been running the Greddy kit for the past month. I am the only one with the kit, as it was tuned and prototyped on my car. I have an MY00. We finally had a dyno day here in San Diego. I know there has been a lot of debate on this kit, each side with fair arguments. These are the gains for the kit. This was done at Rev'd up Kustoms on their Dyno Dynamics 450 twin retarder. This dyno is a load bearding dyno and was configured for each car before runs. It was a fairly warm day, my first run was the highest.
The only control was an MY02 AP1 w/ HKS exhuast, KN FPIK, and headers (DC i think) Thats was all I could see he was running. He put down 200rwhp exactly.
Here's my dyno:
~280rwhp ~195tq
I'm running the Greddy kit, Krank vents, Type-S bov, T1R 70R v3 with CAT, (NO TEST PIPE) All and all I was pretty happy with the dyno. I was right on par with my friends R1 FD Rx-7 running exhaust, DP, MP, Pedit ECU, modified intake, on 12lbs of boost. He put 282rwhp.
This kit isn't the highest peak HP kit out there, but as you can see full boost at about ~3800rpms and a pretty nice level tq curve = great for daily driving. We figured that the kits makes about 336hp at the crank. Here are some pics of my engine bay. The only addition is a vac line for my boost gauge.
Again I'm running stock boost, 0.5 bar on my gauge. I'll post the video once my friend gets it to me. Thanks for your time.
Well the kits not for everyone. Made a solid 80rwhp over a bolt on s2k. Again this kit was tuned conservatively. And I get about 20mpg of mixed driving. thanks.
