200 more whp with a 3071r ? You sure about that?
I said about. This kit makes ~270, you can get easily get 400 out of the GT3071R. With some simple supporting mods you can get 450 without breaking a sweat.

reliable for now, but running more than 9lbs (or so) on the S2000's high stock compression wont be for long. And you can use a thicker head gasket, but that will take more labor. the point is, the greddy kit is so easy to install, a novice can do it, no need to take the head off for a HG, no need for tuning, and EXTREMELY reliable straight out of the box. It is a conservative tune, on purpose, more power can be made simply by increasing the boost, but then the reliability factor comes into play.
I can't understand how anyone can say the kit is reliable if only ONE PERSON has it installed
We CAN say the inlinepro kit (for example) is reliable, with or without a headgasket, because so many of them are on the road now.
I am actually a little dissapointed with this kit only making 270WHP @ 7.5 PSI. They must be retarding the hell out of the timing and the manifold, etc.. must be super restrictive.
At 6.8 PSI I made 316WHP/210TQ with my Stage One Tuning SC kit. I am actually looking at getting Greddy's ULT and S2000 harness kit to use with my SC kit. Was going to go K-Pro but it looks like they are pushing out the dates on it.
Again - not comparing apples to apples here, and I am sure it will not take long for people to squeeze a few more ponies out of it.
Ok lets get one thing straight here, is it 270whp or 300 whp? The OP stated it was 300whp.
Anyhow, there are a lot of debates on this kit, especially comparing to inline. I think this kit cost wise, is best for the 06-07 because you don't have to spend another 2 grand for an ems. I'm not even going to speak about tuning, because I could careless if Greddy says that they already "pre-tuned" it, i think it will be smarter to get it re-tuned.
I think we all know that the Greddy kit will not compare to inline when speaking in HP, but in my case anyways, if this kit becomes CARB, I am sold simply because i drive a lot of surface streets and there are plenty of cops outthere.

The previous dyno said 270 something REAR WHEEL horsepower.
The 300 number was a random guess at the CRANK horsepower (which would be higher since the wheel hp is 270)
damn!!!!!! thats low, somebody give me a confirmation, i'm really considering this kit. If this is true, even at 9psi, it'll barely pass the 300 mark!!!!!!!!
Can I buy the $4000 inlinepro kit, bolt on and drive the piss out of it reliably with no more added costs than what comes with their $4000 kit? Thats what makes the greddy tempting because that is what i have been led to believe
270?? The dyno is on page 1... i put down 279.5rwhp letting off early at ~8400rpm. again on a dyno dynamics dynomometer. if you want to see 300+, just dyno on a dynopack you'll see 10-12% more hp than on DD.

Heres a tip: dont rely on others "confirmation" when making big dollar purchases. Do your own research, especially on a public forum where anyone and their dog and chime in.
