extended warrenty

The dealer in my area of ohio has an extended warrenty which is 6 years/100,000 miles for $1500.00. Is the high or is it normal.

$1500.00! In US dollars, no less!

(I hope this answered your question.) We don't even pay that here in Canadian dollars.

I would say it's normal. They tried to talk me in to it at $1800 but I ended up getting them to agree on $1100. I'm satisfied as I plan on keeping this car for quite some time.

Contrary to what dealers would have you believe. Extended warranties are NEGOTIABLE! And they are one of the best ways a dealer has to make $$$$$$.

They sure are nogotiable. I got a 6 year/72k mile warranty for 583$. BUT that price, i think, was only because i said no once already and he needed to sell one more for the month. They are negotiable!
