I'm not an "audio junkie", but I know that there are hundreds of different "best" set ups you can run...
define the term "best" and maybe one of the junkies can chime in for you...
MB Quart is known for quality...there are many diff JL 10" subs...w0,w3,w6,w7...

my advice? go listen to whatever you're planning to buy before you do.
otherwise you're going to get a dozen opinions that will all disagree... for example in MY OPINION, i'd rather listen to my 3 children randomly beat wooden spoons on pots than listen to my favorite CD on MB Quart speakers. blech, yuck, and
.
my opinion.
now, someone else will tell you that they are great... who do you believe? so, go listen and decide for yourself.
regarding which system is 'best'. i'll make the age old favorite analogy here...
what combination of pizza toppings are the best?
what pizza maker/eatery is best?
as far as i'm concerned -- my system rocks and is almost perfect for what i want. i run an Alpine HU (CDA-7894), Focal speakers (PolyKevlar 165K2), an Adcom amp on my highs (GFA-4304), a Kicker amp on my sub (ZR-240), and an Elemental Designs sub in a WLaurent box (ED 11Ov.2).

"best" is relative.
for example what's the best car out there - well that depends do you want comfort, luxury or balls to the wall performance.
in my bmw i have a denon head unit with morel components up front, cdt image tweeters in a-pillar pods and cdt's in the rear doors. zapco amps all around.
re XXX and adire brahma subs.
some would say that it was an excellent way to blow close to 7k.
others would say that there mcintosh amps with seas comps sound better.
its all relative...
in my S i just got done with a set of focals and a set of cdt's. eclipse HU, bass shakers. and two arc audio amps.
sound goods with the top down at 5mph, sounds even better with the top down at 105mph. i get no listening fatigue, and i shopped long and hard to keep the price down to under 2k.

dont shop until you know what you want out of it. a few questions to ask yourself before you start picking out your equipment, what music i listen to, what speakers match my type of music, do i like brighter highs, do i like smoother highs, do i like warm midrange, do i listen to my music loud. there are tons on questions u need to ask yourself.

What impact do I want to have on my S2000?
-weight? (minimum, some, don't care)
-appearance? (invisible vs. bling vs. something in between)
-loss of space (NONE, some, lots, all)
-cost (sound system cost vs. money spent on performance modifications, track time, tires, fuel, beer)
Some people think of their S2000 as a pure sports car and enjoy good sound only if it minimally impacts their driving experience (or they turn the sound off and listen to the engine...)
Some people think of their S2000 as simply an attractive truck that carries around a high-end, competition-level sound system.
Most of us are somewhere in between the two, but it is a huge range of "best.".
But everybody who answers that the "best" sound system depends on what you want, is absolutely correct.
