Default E-Manage install

I finally found some time to install the e-manage.

What I initially did was to set the A.A.V values (Start Point to Point5) to display 0 on the Support tools Main Unit setting information by playing with the 5 "knobs" on the Emanage front panel. These were tempered by the previous owner.
I also set the last two knobs (hidden by the cover) to full counter clock wise (7 o'clock)

Jumpers were previously set to 4 - 8 - C

On ignition with engine still off , after around 4 sec the CEL turns on. if i turn off and on the CEL will come straight away. I reset the CEL by removing the battery terminals to try again and still again, after 4sec the CEL turns on.

I checked the parameters and the main unit settings and all seem fine.

I tried cranking the engine and on first impression it idles fine at around 2000rpm (still cold) and after 3/4 sec , the engine hesitates and switches off.

The strange thing is that the CEL comes on with engine still off

Anyone knows what the problem might be ?

Having the CEL will help you figure out what the problem is.

Is that Vtec engagement failure ?

I removed the E-mange out of the loop and the car is working fine and vtec is functioning normal.

I unticked all the MAP settings from the Parameter Settings, shouldn't this disable the MAP settings including VTEC ?

Just been looking at the wire harness. There is no Cable attached to C10 coming from the engine and the ECU is fed from the purple cable from the e-manage harness..

Is this right ?

If C10 is connected on the ECU side (plug side) and not the header side (as seen below) It should be wired right. Check the WTS wires too.
