3mm is enough, it just moves alittle. To buy the connectors, you have to buy 1000's of each.

Trip.

Put the screwdriver down and step away from the harness.

Reading your tales of woe made me open up my sealed package and tackle the job myself.

Right that white bit you don't need to push up high like Stratocaster said, this is enough.

Then I got a tiny watchmakers screwdriver and stuck it in the block, you have to get it in the right place.

Then they just pull out.

Stick it in the right hole on the connector and snap the white plastic bit down.

Then you need to unsolder this and stick it in the other hole, resolder and shrink wrap it.

Jobs a good'en.

After a couple of nice words, i managed rip P29 cable, spliced in the white plastic of the connector (yes spliced right in it) and got out the pin. soldered a new cable and put back in P31.
The other side was done perfect without any issues.

Time to get it back on the car, took a deeeeep breath and turned on the key.

AND

NO CEL

took the car out, wait for the 3 bar, and WOT to 4th gear and no flashing CEL

FINALLY step one done.

Mark , yours looked easy but i can assure you mine were a PITA,

one other thing i noticed
started on third gear at 2krpm and floored it to 9000, i noticed lack of power just after 5000 rpm and as soon as vtec kicks in, it bursts out pushing me back (more then it used to be).

I will set the vtec to 6000rpm and leave the rest as is for now.

Step two will be a Wideband 02 sensor and the resistor an connect my datalogger

Thanks for all help guys.

History will repeat it self with another EU owner.. keep tuned
