I cross-checked the harness with the pic above and the only difference is the ground (black) . It is terminated to the B20 . B2 is spliced to go to pin 9 on the emanage harness.

B2 - PG1 (POWER GROUND) - Ground for the ECM control.
B20 - LG1 (LOGIC GROUND) - Ground for the ECM control circuit

Today i tried again upgrading the E-manage with firmware 1.29 , 1.36 and 1.39 but still go the same symtoms.

On the Supoprt tools, I opened a new file (blank) and uploaded it to the menage, Reset the CEL and tried again. AFter 5sec the ignition is turned on ,the F**KING CEL light come back ON


I will need get hold of a code reader

I just ordered an Equus Innova 3100 code reader.
Should be here in about a week.

I bought a code reader for the same reason. Its handy to have. I have a boolslang harness also, but no problems with it. Did you buy it pre wired from them or did it yourself?

Trip, I got a harness from boomslang, one of the connections was different from the American to UK wiring, it was on Connector A (32P) 31 VAP air pump voltage signal wire was missing.

That would give you a CEL.

I got that too different from the Manual.

Did it give you a CEL ?

giving it a second thought if it is the case, EU ECU's are not compatable with US ECU's , SO why would for for example an Aftermarket (mugen or Spoon) ECU work on US, EU and JDM cars without getting CEL ?
