Default Shift Mechanically Over rev'd

well i was at 3rd trying to get to red line then instead of 4th gear i accidentally put it on 2nd...the shit rev like crazy... going back and forth... anyways now i think im fawk but the car seems ok to me it still push hard... also i never felt the fuel cut off... is there one...?

my question now is that in the future what would i look for...
and tomorrow im going to bring it to the shop if theres something wrong with the car....

any suggestion where .... and how much>?

so where you AT redline when you shifted out of 3rd?
sounds more like you just hit the limiter.

i was at 7000 or 7500 i shift right after vtec..... shift accidently to 2nd

it doesnt seem like it did.. i pretty much stayed i think i dont recall, its because i was looking at the redline blinking....then about a second or 2 i shift to neutral...

so far my car is ok .... still push hard... no engine light or any light on my gauge so what do you think...

should i wait before i do to the shop or just have them check out the car... my concerned is that i dont know how much it will cost to check out some broken valve...

If...

you were in third @ redline and accidently put it into second but NEVER engaged the clutch, then you were bouncing off the rev limiter and I would say you're safe.

If...
you were in third @ redline and accidently put it into second and fully released the clutch thereby mechanically over revving the engine, I would definitely tow it into a shop and have them take a look at it.

if u went from 3 to 2nd , then there is no rev limiter, thats a mechanical over rev
