Rick

Is this "casing out of styrene plastic " the same thing you used on the inside of the Radio/Gauge install as well?

Might look neater with that skinny, flexible wire idea I posted in your other thread. (posted above)

Does the detector still pick up radar well since it's now a bit hidden?

There's no way to prove it, but as best I can tell, yes. It is set off by all the store alarms that always set it off before, and the readings work equally well front and rear.

Jshahan, Yes, it's the same sheet styrene, which I buy in the local hobby store. The stuff is very easy to work with.

E30M, I completely forgot, but I'll make the change when I get a chance.

BTW, While I was doing all this, I discovered that my Alpine alarm system (which never worked right) had a faulty ground connection. Now that I've fixed it, the damned thing works like a charm (it would always go off without any obvious event to trigger it). I share this thought only because it was the only protection I had for the explosed V1 when I parked the car with the top down (so I always put the top up).

Rick,

How about a shot from the back for the rear laser?

There is no rear laser sensor, so the back is completely stock, thus no photos.

where did you get the lucite from? I am interested in trying this (though, based on what you have said about the laser cutting proccess I will more than likely have to do it carefully by hand)
