I have a Viper with proximity sensor and have the same issues, especially now that the weather is cold all the time. Dont think different brands will help much. Nothing a small adjustment wont fix until the weather changes!

Also I was told the cell phones can interfere with theses sensors, so dont leave your cell in the car even if its off.
I'm go to turn them down right away. This must be the problem, because it works great during summer weather then goes to hell in a hand basket once it starts to cool off.

Nice Job!!!
How hard is it to wire up the power and where did you tab in? I am very handy working with plastic and stuff, but electric stuff scares me!

You can tap the power from a number of places -- the trunk release circuit, which is always on, or the power connection in the base of the center console.

You have to remove the center console (easy) and the rear console (relatively easy). The hinged lid cannot be removed with the rear console on the car.

You do not need to remove the seats to do these things, but it's a lot easier without them in the way.

Great Job Rick! Looks good and I like the idea that you don't have to remove it out of sight whenever you park. The only concern would be that the rear radar sensitivity might drop due to the large metal structures right behind the detector (i.e. frame and trunk) that tend to attenuate RF. Not sure how much attentuation you'll see from that - may not even be a big issue.

Front radar sensitivity should be fine since RF passes through plastics so you really don't need the window unless you want laser protection.
