Default The S2000 needs a V6

I believe that many people in this forum are in denial that the S2000 needs more torque. I bought an S2000 after driving a 99 Corvette. Boy was I disappointed. The dealer was an asshole about not letting anyone drive the car unless they bought it. But after I bought it, I felt as if the low end power was rather weak. If I have someone else in the car along with some groceries, I feel as if I am driving an RSX. We need a V6!!!

No words could express my thoughts of this post... so I'll leave you with some icons

I seen many happy s2k owners... if you like your damn Corvettes that much just stick with them. Why did you even post this in the s2000 talk? ahh!

Just like I said. Many people are in denial. Also, PlasticTHUG... have you ever driven the S2000 and/ or the Corvette. If you have, you would know what I was talking about.

By looking at the specs, you should have known that the S2K, in terms of top end acceration, is like a Integra/RSX on steroid. Off the line is still not quick (Normal street start). Most N/A 4 cylinders are like that.

If you need torque, wait 8 months for the 350z convertible.

I own an S2000 and am very happy with the car, but I would have liked a 2.4-2.7 liter V6 or I6 better. The car is NOT perfect, although way closer than most. However, nastinupe, you should have insisted on driving one (even a used one at another dealership if need be) before plopping 35 large down on the car.

Honestly, what did you expect? Did you not know you were buying a four cylinder? I think if you truly were a car person you would have done a little more research and driven one before your purchase. Even at worst case you could have gone out and test driven a used one!

btw..I own a vette as well and I do know what you are talking about, but I don't expect to get 250 lb/ft of torque out of a high strung 4 cyl unless I do some modding.

Is it good having equal hp and torque like some modern cars today?

But didn't Honda just use a V6? I rode in a CL S type and was blown away at what the S2000 could have been.
