oh man! I WISH I paid 29k USD for my S. For whatever reason, our friends in Japan [and most other parts of the world] haven't realized this isn't the 1970-80's, and the Canadian dollar has been within 10 cents of the US dollar for the past decade or so.

So up here in the great white North, we're still paying 50k for brand new s2k's or about 47,500 USD [on today's exchange at 1.05 CDN to US]. Kinda sucks....but still some of the best money I've ever spent!

if you think Minimalistic and you wanna race on weekends, yes.

If you want more for your money, try Evo or STI. at 30k, you'll get a lot more than you pay for.

s2k is like whiskey. If you know this is something you want more than wine, vodka or fruity drink, then the bitter taste wont bother you at all, in fact, that's why you would buy this car. for the hard riding, no glovebox, go cart fun.

and you wouldn't worry about a hangover.
One more Laphroig please!!

[QUOTE=8kGoodENuff,Jul 10 2007, 09:42 AM] Trust me... this is a toy you WILL NOT regret buying.

For it's price... you get a car that can easily compete with you 50k to 80k porsche's.

Worth every penny.

Once you own this car, everything you try to purchase in the future will seem wrong.

Yeah, I just got my old man into one last weekend 07 berlina. bye bye c5. paid 29,283. Up until June 2nd. Honda had a Dealer cash incentive of 2g's. There will be Honda clearance coming up and dealer incentives abound again im sure...

I still think of 29k USD as being -so- cheap.

They're $50,600 new here in Canada - and always have been...

this car is just a weekend car for me because i fear bringing it on base....too many jealous assholes. I love this car to death and greatly wish that i could get some upgrades for it but other hobbies get in the way which are also quite pricey. If i could finger out a way to get away from at least some of the other hobbies then my S would be amazing...not that it isnt right now.
