Another new owner
I bought a 2006 Suzuka Blue S2K this past Saturday. 17K miles. A friend saw it today and was stunned when I told him it was an '06. He seriously thought it was new. He kept starring at it so I took him for a ride. Came damn close to getting a ticket-- I backed off just in time before 2 Ga State Patrol cars passed me. I'm very happy thus far, got 30 mpg with the first tank of gas---totally unexpected since I love 6K+ rpm......but there were substantial highway miles with cruise control.
My son had an '06 Civic SI, now owns a 911/993, so I was already familiar with the Vtec engines. Forget the Civic, no comparison.
This car will not be a daily driver, so I'm thinking in 10 years it will still be at relatively low miles. Nor will it be exposed to rough winter conditions--creampuff available in about 10 years when I'm too old to crawl into the seat or forget how to use a clutch. Maybe I'll trade it for a Buick.
I am located in the southeast in the mountains of NC & Ga. (The Dragon is between my 2 homes, but for me there's too much congestion and hassle there. Plenty of local roads that are just as much fun.) Sorry, not ready to share......But my wife & I will spend significant time on the BRP in the Asheville area.
Just happy to be here.
