Default Back for a second round

Several years ago I bought and crashed (deer) a beautiful turbo NFR AP2 from metros here on the forums. It ended up getting fixed by insurance but I stocked it out in anticipation of selling it.

Well I'm finally back like 5 years later. I snagged an amazing deal on a high mileage AP1, well maintained with a good condition top. Just needs paint from some rust repair on the rear fender. This beauty has 250k miles on it, it's amazing how well it's held up especially using my previous AP2 as a reference point.

Best part is I still have the turbo kit and tons of goodies for it. Time to go shopping for an AEM infinity, clutch, injectors, and plenty more. Might do springs and retainers as well or who knows a budget bottom end build maybe! Also will give the suspension, trans, and diff some love.

Can't wait and feels so good to be back.

If anyone has any referrals on paint and 3m wrap in the DC area let me know. I'm looking to get a repaint of nfr and then a wrap to a different color.

Your car looks great. Enjoy. I love to see people sprucing up high mileage S2ks. I bet you will get a lot of years out of that car.

Thanks, I will pass that along to the car who will surely appreciate it :P . It really surprises me how well it drives with the mileage.
The engine is a little ticky, will be checking TCT, valve adjustment, and retainers. Though honestly given the mileage & incoming turbo I might just lump that in with a mild rebuild.

In other news I have ID1000 injectors on the way; still shopping for an ECU. Then I'm a clutch & tune away from more power (assuming no rebuild yet).
Passenger rear axle on the way as well to fix some vibration from axle cup; got a good deal on the axle so it wasn't worth swapping cups.

My friend and I took the hard top off the other day, unfortunately the soft top wouldn't come back up.
I'm thinking it was just the hardtop switch sticking since the windows weren't rolling down or anything. Handbrake indicator comes on no problem.
If anyone knows where the switch (on the top or the car?) is please chime in with a comment.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test; we put the hard top right back on since I didn't want to be stuck topless.
