Default Considering the S2000..

First off, the names Bart.. at the moment a 2004 Mazda RX8 owner, and a proud one :]

Well to start off, I'd like to tell you a little bit about my current car. I've had it for about a year now and have been working on it since. Just some of the aftermarket mods that I've done include a T618Z turbo, fm-intercooler, hi-flow cat, Borla exhaust and MUCH more. I'm just starting college this upcoming September, so I'm in need of something more reliable than what I have now - and something with better gas mileage. Here are my questions and concerns..

How's the mileage on the S2000?
Does it run as good as it sounds?
Is it a head turner?
Are there any things I need to know about, that Honda does not tell you?
Can I expect to get a from another S2000 on the road?

That will be all for now,

-- Added --
What's the AP1 and AP2? Searching didn't help me answer that question.
Do any S2k owners use Redline transmission/differential fluids and Royal Purple motor oil? If so, 5W20 or 5W30?
Is the HP/TQ rating true at the dyno?
How's Honda's warranty when it comes to recalls/problems?
I read the audio system is bad, is it the stereo its self or the speakers/sound quality?
Can Honda install my iPod link later?

If you can answer all of these, you guys would be the greatest

Hi. A lot of your questions are in the FAQs at the top of the sections, but:

S2000 is one of the few cars that actually gets EPA est. mileage, but yours will vary by how you drive it.

You need to check your oil at every fill up. Vtech does consume oil, esp. on AP1s.

S2k community is very good - lots of thumb-ups and light flashing from those in the know.

AP1 is generally the first iteration of the car - 2000-2003, 9k rpm redline. AP2 is 2004+, 8.3k redline, revised interior, suspension, wheels, engine. 2006+have dbw and stability control.

Yes, people use Redline here, check/ask in the Under the Hood section for details.

Dyno numbers are generally true, ~200-210 rwhp.

Stereo system just sucks - low, dirty power, but gets the job done. If you want to 'really' listen to music, you'll need an aftermarket HU and speakers.

Honda has an iPod system for the factory HU, but so do many aftermarket HU companies.
