jshimer23 Im glad that you can asume that I will end up putting my car in a ditch because I asked a question about what would have to be done to make the s2k a little faster or fast enough to beat these types of cars.

Do a little research over the past few years. Look at how many people end up in a ditch with-in a few months of buying the S. With the mentality of "I want to buy an S and make it fast enough to beat such and such cars", there's a good chance you'll end up in a ditch, or worse. I've just seen too many "i just crashed my S" threads. You may never end up in a ditch (as I truley hope you don't), but I've seen it time and time again here.

I'm just saying, whatever you decide, do it for the right reasons. And for your sake and others, be responsible out there.

Yea Im not looking for a ferrari type fast just dd, street, interstate, kind of fast. But I do want to be able to beat your average everday cars like 350z,srt4,cobalts,bmws,and especially show up some american cars. Granted I will probley have to go with a turbo or supercharger to accomplish this right?
I think you would not beat those cars but I think you would at least tie them.

The 0-60 and 1/4 mile time are very close

s2000 0-60 5.4sec and 1/4 in 13.9
cobalt ss 0-60 5.5sec and 1/4 in 14.0
350z 0-60 5.4 and 1/4 in 13.8
g35 coupe 0-60 5.3 and 1/4 13.8
civic si 0-60 6.8 and 1/4 in 15.1

People say our car is not that fast but a 0-60 5.4 sec time. I think you can hang with alot of stock cars. Other cars with bolt ons and etc well thats a whole diff ball game.

to be honest, im not thinking that a s2000 is for you. I am sure you would love it, but im pretty sure you wouldnt appreciate it for what it is. Do what you want, but the money might be better spent on a turbo kit for your si or something with a turbo. If you want to beat all those cars then maybe a wrx or something like that.
