Default couple questions....

Just got the car like my last post... a couple things I can't figure out.... Car came with no manual sooo..

1. Where the hell is the electronic lock and unlock button in the car?
2. I have the stock headunit with the car but in the trunk there is an alpine 6 cd changer.... The front unit will not take any cd's into it.... Is there like a reset on this or is the front just broken?
3. what the hell is the push to cancel button on the dash with the + sign? I know it brightens and dims the display.. but it says push to cancel?
4. What the heck is the 4th air thing on the ac dial? it looks like a picture of the cars top down with wind coming from the back of the car?
5. Ill be doing an oil change soon and the maint. required light is on. To get this to reset I hold down the brake pedal and the minus sign and turn the key right?
6. in the back where it holds the lift and tools for a flat there is a empty area that is square in the center.... what went there?

any other things i should know about? Thanks for all the help and thanks for welcoming me to the board!

i just got mine monday and i was like NO PWR DOOR LOCKS?!? would be nice if theres a hidden switch, but im guessing there isnt.

i think that a/c setting blows air out of the vents above the stereo

i was digging through all the papers and books that came with my car and i found an unopened manual for a 6disc changer(oem) where is the changer located? i havnt looked because i have an Alpine head unit.

i know when you open the trunk on mine the changer is sitting on the right side of the trunk. don't think its oem though.. its an alpine. I might move it.. don't like it sitting there...

I can only speak from a MY05 standpoint, but I think most of these are the same.
1. To lock both doors (for travel), just push the lock tab (just forward of door opening latch) in so that it is flush with the door panel. For parking, with the door open and passenger side closed, hold the door latch out, then push to lock tab (as above); both doors should lock and now. NOTE: There isn't any automatic unlock... you have to reach across and open it manually.
2. IDK
3. '+' increases brightness '-' decreases (5 incremental stops each way). There are two settings daytime/nightime; Set +/- levels for day with lights off, then turn on lights and set illumination for night. Now that those are set at your desired level... while running at night, the cancel tells the display to revert to the daytime setting. To use, with the head lights on, push and hold the + button... illumination switches to daytime setting.
4. Purpose is to provide better air distribution for top down driving. Air exits from center vents in dash above audio system, floor vents and side vents.
5. (a) Engine off/key out (b) insert key, press & hold trip button
