Fellow S2K'er in Oklahoma
Hey guys, I'm not exactly a new owner, but I have been wanting to get in touch with any other S people located in Oklahoma, but I might as well tell you a little bit about myself while I'm here. I'm 19 and my '02 BB S is my pride and joy. I hate the bad reputation that I automatically get for driving a fast car and being a teenager, but I suppose I can see why they think that. I like to think that I am one of the more responsible teens. I never street race, but have been known to occasionally go out for a speed run on country roads late at night where there is good pavement, no cars, and no houses. I try to take care of my S as best as possible, although the previous owners have abused it, and I am currently in the process of getting an entire cylinder head and valves replaced because of the previous owners mistakes. I hope to someday track the car, in fact that's pretty much my dream haha, unfortunately my parents still pay the insurance on it even though I own it and paid for it so they make the decision whether it gets tracked or not. I would also love to get more mechanically involved with my S, but all I have done is changed out spark plugs on it and that's it. Well that's a little bit about me, just pm me if you are also from Oklahoma or have any pointers for me. Thanks! - Zeke
Zeke, I know you signed up here before I did but I have been into track events and Honda's for over ten years. I would say that you should work corners at local events and get a ride-a-long here and there while you get everything situated. All you will do is meet great people, earn credit and get to ride with great drivers.
