First day owner, I'm just lovin' this car!
Hey all! Just saying hello to everyone on the s2ki community. Just picked up my 2005, mint condition (original owner only put 3400 miles), Suzuka Blue S2000 yesterday and after a day of owning her, I'm just loving this car! Before my S2000, I used to have a 2003 Evo 8 which was a very good car. Owned the evo for four years and it's never had any problems and always delivers in the fun department. However, after four years of driving a car with stiff suspension, harsh ride, noisy interior and econobox surroundings (the recaros were awesome though) it was time to move on to something with a bit of civility, better interior as well as performance. At first I was looking at the Z but after a couple of test drives, it didn't feel anything special. Since I used to own a first gen mazda miata, I test drove the new one. It felt peppy enough and handling was tight however the interior was small especially with the top up. Driving the miata however made me miss having a drop top two seater. If I was going to get a convertible, might as well get the upgrade and go for an S2000. Fast forward to a week later and here she is

Thanks, I'll make a trip out to a dealer and get some as well as a couple of oil filters. Actually, Nevada doesn't require sales tax for private sale as of 2006 I believe. When you register a car that was bought from a private party, you just pay registration (which is pretty outrageous here in NV) and that's it.
wow that must be nice, not only does kansas have high sales tax but we also have personal property tax which is a joke. so i went to new mexico to do my registration there and that saved me over $1000.
