First S2K experience
Hello all. My name is John, I'm from King, NC (near Winston Salem). I've been debating a new car for some time and after a lot of reading, settled on an S2000. I've been registered on the boards for a little bit, and have been digging through them before that. Let me share a little bit about me:
1) I can use the search button.
2) I will not ask which is better, AP1 or AP2.
3) I will not ask which exhaust is the best.
4) I can use the search button.
5) I will not ask if it will beat a Mustang GT in a drag race.
Now that that's out of the way
.
A local S2K owner (Golden Eagle, for those who know him) was kind enough to introduce me to the driving experience on an S2K. And wow, words can't describe it. I love it for all the same reasons I'm sure you all do.
I'll be buying mine in a few months, though I will have to drive an AP2 to decide first which one I like better. The one I drove was an AP1. Downshift =
. Now I have to drive the AP2 to see if the same is true there
.
Everyone on the forum was like "You can hear it going in to VTEC, its so cool" and I was like yeah yeah. But wow, experiencing it is so much different. I was riding along, and when VTEC kicked in I was like "Wow, you can hear it going in to VTEC. That's cool!"
Lots smaller than expected. Felt like a little toy car. I like
. But yeah, reading about it and driving it proved to be two different worlds.
Thanks again Jay for the experience
.

It's nice that you enjoyed it so much, my first time driving an S2000 wasn't as nice cause I had just come from owning an STI and I was expecting a little more power from it, but I got used to it. This car is a keeper, have fun with it
