Found a S2k, think its a good deal?
Yeah you can't compare across the border right now...the dollar and the car prices have not shifted equally.
That smartest thing to do overall would be to go to the US and buy one, since you'd spend a few grand more and have a brand new one. But that's not his question.
That doesn't sound like a terrible price, compared to what else is available. That color combonation isn't really common here, so if you can get em down a little bit then go for it! You've still got lots of warranty left on it so drive it and enjoy it.

Just for the record, I have a MY 02 (late in the model run w/all 03 upgrades), super clean under 10K miles w/some very nice Rick's/Mugen/Comptech aftermarket goodies, incl intake, exhaust, 4.57, Meister S2R's w/Advans, etc, etc. Def in the Top 10 unriced 02 S2K's in this state. I just turned down $26 cash from a kid who almost cried when I wouldn't sell. There's more to selling (and buying) a car than what kbb.com tells you the sale price should be.
33900 CAD, taking the exchange rater of 1 US = 1.09 CAD makes the car 31100 US, which is as much as a new one in the states. Maybe you should post under the Canadian forums to get more thoughts from fellow Canadians, eh. I was talking to Dickson at AJracing and he was telling me how much more expensive things are up there and stuff, so it might be a good deal. But in the US, that's not a good deal.
Autotrade.ca is your best friend to research resell value. Try S2000 in Autotrader
I don't know where in Canada you are in, but CAD33K for an MY02 is on the high side. Do some shopping around it shouldn't be hard to find a better deal, either lower price MY02 or a newer model year for the same price.

Odd... The bank is telling you what to pay for a car? Things must be very different in the great white north!

Good luck, man. I'm sorry your questions got weird answers from US residents... Car prices are extremely different between US and CAN. If you want me to move this thread to your local forum just tell me what part of CAN you're in...
